LONG BLACK VS AMERICANO
Both Long black and Americano are espresso based drinks whose ingredients are similar but different in preparation methods which alters crema and flavor profiles.

➔ Espresso machine
➔ Burr grinder
➔ Tamper
➔ Distributor (optional)
➔ Water Boiling kettle (optional)
➔ Coffee cup

Long black is espresso extracted directly over hot water resulting in rich crema on top leading to a bold and intense flavors. Hot water is added into a cup then double shot of espresso is extracted over the water.
Americano

Americano is hot water added over a double shot of espresso which breaks the crema resulting in thin body and less intense flavor. Double shot of espresso is extracted in to a cup then topped with hot water.
